Question: How do I reset, for the oil change display on dash

I change my own oil, and when I did it for the first time on my Jeep Patriot and started it up it beeps and reads change oil on the display on the dash. Is there a way to reset it somehow

have you tried unhooking the battery for a few minutes to let the computer reset itself. it works on some models. as a reset.

It's in the owner's manual. Slowly press the gas pedal to the floor and release it three times within five seconds of turning the key to "on", I think.
